BPOM Held Drugs Care Action throughout Indonesia

The Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) called for a simultaneous social action all over Indonesia to be more concerned with drugs and food that is safe to be consumed.

For example, in Gorontalo, social action "Care for Safe Drugs and Food" in the Taruna Remaja Field, Gorontalo. Around 1,800 people attended the action that was opened by the Governor of Gorontalo.

In this action, there were several series of events, among others, healthy walk, the National Movement for Safe Drugs and Food Care (GN POPA) launching, drinking herbal drink together, roving laboratory vehicle, food inspection, as well as SMEs and herbs exhibitons.

Furthermore, BPOM in Bengkulu along with provincial governments and other stakeholders to implement a social action of Care for Safe Drugs and Food at Pantai Panjang Sport Center. The event was preceded by mass excercise with more than 500 participants and continued with GN POPA declaration and followed by an interactive dialogue with the car free day (CFD) visitors.

In addition, there was also held SMEs exhibition, cheap market operation, and blood donors. Next, in Bandar Lampung was held the same event in Raden Intan Circle, Tugu Gajah, Bandar Lampung and was opened by the head of Government of Bandar Lampung.

The event begins with a morning walk, continued by the commitment raising of GN POPA, reviewing roving laboratory vehicle which previuosly had taken samples from the location of the event, followed by a question and answer session with the CFD visitors. Around 500 people was attended this social action.

Meanwhile, in Aceh, around 500 people participate in a social action of Care for Safe Drugs and Food in Banda Aceh. Besides mass healthy walk, there was also held interactive dialogue, blood donor, herbal drink for all, and testing in roving laboratory vehicle.

In Kendari, social action of Care for Safe Drugs and Food was held in City Park and was attended by people from cross sector. Participants was encouraged to exercise and drank herbal drink together. There is also information service  regarding product registration, food and drugs supervision result exhibition, revitalization of roving laboratory vehicle, and commitment gathering for Safe Drug and Food Care.

In other areas, the Ambonese community is also invited to be present in social action of Care for Safe Drugs and Food which located in the shopping complex at Jl. A.Y. Patty and attended by approximately 500 people.

BPOM in Batam organized the event in collaboration with the Riau Island Cancer Foundation. They held a social action of Care for Safe Drugs and Food. Another area that held a similar action is Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, Surabaya, Palembang, Serang (Banten), Denpasar, Palu.
